3 Things To Know About Making More Money
What you Appreciate, Appreciates. Make more time for Joy and to Enjoy who you are.
Working hard does not equate to making money. The two things are distinct. You can work hard and be a millionaire or a pauper. You can do relatively little and be a millionaire or a pauper. One does not dictate the other.
Now just sit with that for a minute.
I’m not saying it to make a fancy point. It’s an observation. For all my passionate entrepreneur friends it’s an essential point to remember. Just because you are spinning more and more plates and making yourself busier and busier it does not necessarily mean you will be any better off or create more cash.
There are 3 things that I believe do equate to making more money.
Valuing yourself.
Valuing your business.
Valuing the Results you Create.
So what does any of that mean in real terms? Here’s some tips to help you on your journey to this.
VALUE YOURSELF
Thinking we are not worthy is a syndrome too many of us suffer from . It looks and sounds like this “I don’t know how much to charge. I don’t think I’m good enough. What if I mess this up. I’m not sure. So and so is better/nicer/smarter/more confident than me.”
If any of those thoughts go through your head, no problem , you’re human. You can balance them out with some of this “I’m the right person for this because……., ‘I know my stuff, I’m awesome just because I exist, my brain has over 86billion neurons, some of them must be pretty useful”.
What you appreciate appreciates. Practice appreciating all of the things you are already brilliant at. Be Kinder to yourself.
VALUE YOUR BUSINESS
What is your business worth? If you think of it as a little thing you do on the side, or something that ‘will be something’ some day, you are diminishing what it is and what it does. Your business is not you. It is its own life force, breathed into existence by you but with its own personality, needs and wants. Really understand the mission of your business. Why does it exist and what would the world be like without it? It’s not here just to make you money, it’s here to make a difference in the World. Create an amazing relationship with your business. Love it like a loving parent.
VALUE THE RESULTS YOU CREATE
When you do what you do how do things change for the better? Apple doesn’t just sell technology, it thinks it gives each buyer a piece of beauty and art to carry around and a window to the world. What changes in the world when you do you and your business does what it does? Focus on creating that level of value and you are opening the door to receiving more money.
Oh and here’s a bonus. Making more money does not make you happier.
